Please consult our brochure for an introduction to the Master Programme. Further details are outlined in the study guide.
The ETH Zurich
Master Programme in Environmental Engineering offers the possibility to
specialise in two out of the five following major courses:
It is, however,
mandatory that
one of the majors is chosen among the first three
subject areas listed above. Each major has its own catalogue of compulsory courses.
Students can
choose courses from a broad range of electives, allowing them to either broaden
their education or to specialise in the electives chosen. Carrying out a
project enables students to deepen their scientific knowledge and familiarises
them with working methods typical of Environmental Engineering.
The Master
programme concludes with the Master thesis once all subjects have been
successfully completed and, in accordance with the European Credit Transfer
System, the required 120 credits have been acquired. The Master thesis is based
on one of the electives chosen and is carried out over a period of at least
sixteen weeks.
Successful
graduates are awarded the degree 'Master of Science ETH in Environmental
Engineering'.
